The other day I opened up an electronic dictionary I bought many years ago. Inside it I found the four AAA batteries were made by KODAK. And they still had power!

My first camera was a Brownie (Hawkeye). It was about as basic as it got, but I thought it was cool how you had to look down into the viewfinder.

Just ask Seymour Parrish. He makes the best photos. But be careful what you hand him.

just reading those panels brought back long forgotten memories of the process of popping that film in the camera and then pulling the film across the back of the aperture and hooking it up to the empty spool on the other side and then hoping for the best

I remember thinking the same thing about the drugstores.

Took photography in college…loved developing the film and printing my own photos in the darkroom

I have some old pictures that came out discolored, and recently scanned the negatives. The pictures I got on my computer from the negatives were fine. It really was the drugstore* that screwed then up.

*drugstores typically sent the film out for developing; few if any had the ability to process the film.

Wait till you have used a different speed film reset the camera and then use a bigger lens. See some people use a rifle stock to mount their camera and a long lens to take a shot. 400 speed film was good for car races.

Yes, Cyn; (barring Eb’s caveat about developing services) you took far better pictures.

At least it looks like an SLR, so no ’oops, I left the lens cap on!" problems.
