I once received a handmade Phoenix kite as a birthday gift. The first time I flew it, a Red Tailed Hawk shredded it in the air.

That kite was for the birds.

My mom bought me kite very similar to Red’s. Never was fortunate to experience the Hitchcock bird effect! Ha

Rover says, get lost, you pesty birds!

What a delight—love Rover’s tail wagging as the kite ascends and his racing to chase the birds off the downed kite! Brian, you’re a master at “dog.” Thanks for today.

I’ve flown a LOT of kites over the years. Kites I’ve made, kites I’ve bought, kites given to me. Even bird-shaped kites. But I’ve never had a bird sit on or attack my kite. I’ve been missing out!

Have never seen a bird land on or attack a flying kite. Perhaps they do on occasion…

I didn’t know that kites came that big.

Nice job Rover ….. “BUT” …. you should have tried to get them before they brought the kite down ……. not sure how but just saying ……. anyways ….. “WHY” aren’t you looking for Easter Bones instead of flying a kite …… ;)
