I think that after the hit of “The Gambler” they did a TV Series based on an old Western Gambler in the sunset days of the Old West: when after the railroads and just before the automobile it was starting to become “civilized”. The story takes place in the 1900s I believe, since they have an episode that involves the San Francisco quake.
