    Listen quietly and pay attention. She’s trying to connect with you. It will be worth it.

    Once before I mentioned a mom pushing a baby carriage – naturally one of the high tech models – through our neighborhood. Baby was about 10-12 months and making noises and laughing at flowers, pups that passed by, and life in general. Inattentive mother was glued to her cell and paying no attention whatsoever to her child. Guessed that was to be the pattern of their lives from that point until the child was in preschool and thus the pattern for their lives. Made me very sad.
