Doubtful, indeed, as she was a math genius and prolific music composer who had a powerful impact on church doctrine in the 1000’s. She did NOT make cookies or bring anyone a beer.
Every morning at breakfast I read the comics. I always start to read Get Fuzzy, however, a lot of times I don’t get past the 1st frame. This was one of those times.
Hildegard von Bingen is the earliest woman composer whose works survive. She’s hugely popular today. We have six CD’s of her music and there are a lot more out there. Plus the nuns who worked under her created beautiful paintings of the mystical scenes she imagined. The originals were destroyed during WWII bombings, but color copies survive. She wrote several books on various subjects. For information relevant to this strip go to this page: Nutrition Lessons From Saint Hildegard Von Bingen.

Mmmmmmm. Fish-citrus smoothie, complete with fish tail, scales, and bones. Where can I get one?

The last frame is a little ominous. Bucky is annoyed with Satchel and he has a wooden spoon in his hand. Trouble is brewing…er…blending?

Bucky read all nine volumes of her Physica? In latin?
