I remember being the “guest reader” for my daughter’s kindergarten class. I brought my favorite book from childhood, “Hubert’s Hair-Raising Adventure”. The kids loved it, & my daughter was so proud.
Everyone loves Meemaw. The grandmother every child wishes they had. Reading is the best skill any child can learn. You have many adventures and visit many places.
I never heard of guest readers before. I realize I am old, but we do have nieces and nephews (currently varying from 11 to 35 in age) and never heard of same from any of them either.

And did she check to see if any (or all) of them are on the School District’s Banned Books list?

You can’t say Meemaw doesn’t want to inspire young minds.

The first and the last book I would read my class was The Elephant’s Child by Rudyard Kipling.
