Reminds me of the public library that was renovating and moving the Childrenâs department to a big basement room (so that the noisy kids wouldnât disturb the nattering of the regulars upstairs). They made a show of taking suggestions regarding the carpet. I suggested a soothing neutral like Oatmeal, Sandbox, or Teddy Bear. The Board went with a hideous jumble pattern of straight and curved lines with patches of dark color, straight out of an old manâs idea of a bachelor pad. If you dropped a paper clip, you needed a magnet to find it.
