    Reminds me of Witchita Falls, Texas. They used to have an actual falls in the Wichita River, but a flood destroyed it.

    A hundred years later the city built an artifical falls beside the river. The water that ‘falls’ over the falls is pumped back up to the top and ‘falls’ again, over and over.

    I know this because I’ve been there to do the ‘Hotter than Hell Hundred’ bicycle ride. Over 10,000 bicyclists in (I think) 2017 when I last did it.
