Good Morning JFri, Steve and Dry!
A cinnamon roll and some milk for me please.
(I was still posting on yesterday, duh!)
Toon Tour>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>BBL!
SNEAK! I had no freakin’ idea it was 1:23 AM! TGIS tmr., I mean TODAY! I’ll have Bloody Mary’s, Eggs Benedict, Pirate coffee, and oysters, just the oysters, and they better be RAW oysters! ROFLMAO!
Happy Saturday all. Mid-30s and very sunny in my neighborhood. I’ll just grab a Krisy Kreme with my DIet Coke w/Lime to tide me over on my toon rounds.
Laters gators.
Things are much better on this end, though. Tuesday my spouse went and camped out on the Employment Agency’s doorstep until someone was able to assist. Things are straightened out and Friday we got the ‘catch up’ check. That’s good because insurance is due on the 27th and I was looking at selling my engagement ring…..
Wednesday my Pastor asked me for my car keys during choir practice. I knew he was going to drop off a bag of foodstuffs like peanutbutter. I got home and I had an overflowing laundrybasket of groceries to bring in. I’m set for the next couple of weeks, including Thanksgiving. That gives breathing room as I try to knock the finances back into a semblence of order.
Next week is a short week, and I’m on vacation the following week. My karma overfloweth today so I’m putting a large deposit of karma in the bank. Take what you need, today it’s good karma.
Good Morning! Just to report on my worries yesterday - Things are selling today!!!!!!!! I have sold enough so far to pay for my doctor’s appt. next month!
Two more hours of selling, then i can get some sleep. Thanks everyone who listened to my worries yesterday. I promise I won’t overdo the niceness if the Tribe.
Cleo - how was your dinner last night? SOunded good.
Our new neighbors have a redbone. He howls/barks like my Charlie Girl that I lost 3 years ago. Sounds just like her! Every time he barks, my first instinct is to go and let Charlie in!
it sounds like everyone is having really good things happen for them.
((((((((((((((((((((((((All Tribe)))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Doc love your avatar this week. Are you sure you didn’t sneak in a get a picture of my cats? The color is not the same but sometimes they liked to tangle themselves up like that.
Hi. I’ll be in and out all day today. Today I plan to do something I’ve been meaning to do for years. I’m going to go through all my magazines and books and force myself to pass most of them on. Not easy to do when you’re an admitted packrat [especially with books, magazines and videos] but I’ll try. Wish me luck.
Or I might just stay on here and keep them all, but most of them I haven’t even looked at for months or even years. HELP!!!!!!!!
serena I have magazines I subsribed to, Backyard Living (finally let the subscription lapse after I saw I had at least 7 issues still in the wrapper), subscribed to Family Circle because 2 years were only $5,99, have at least 6 still in the wrapper! Now I just throw the offers in trash without even opening them!
Celecca I do crafts, too. Jewelry (mostly necklaces and bracelets), small artworks, and snowflakes. Man I do snowflakes. I have 2 patters I really like and two that are ok. I have 98% of my stuff in a craftstore in Ladson, and in the past 3 months nothing has sold. Hardly anthing of anyone’s has sold.(there are about 8-10 featured artists), I have a necklace which is getting lotsa complements but no buyers….and it’s only $60, very cheap for the type and work. Ah well, like you said, keeps me off the streets.
Anyway I hope you do well at your craft sale. Take care!
Doc, Not sure if you’re kidding or not, but I know NOTHING about ebay. I should learn though, I have enough good stuff here I could sell instead of going thru an antigue dealer. But consider this, if you get rid of it, you may regret it for the rest of your life!
howdy all. good to hear the better news from Quaby & Celecca, and best of luck to serena’s attempt to lessen the clutter. i have first hand experience of what she speaks as well. i have 10 boxes of comic books in my store room taking up space, unlikely to have any value in particular, and i haven’t got around to dealing with them - and i stopped collecting over 20 years (and 1 move) ago. so i can relate to pack rats.
i should be at least trying to put together the bookshelves i bought almost a month ago, but can’t face the thought of forcing my creaky knees to the floor to do the assembly. should have thought of that before i went to IKEA. oh well, sooner or later.
going to tour toonland a bit, since i missed yesterday.
btw: thanks for the AC/DC wake up call last night. i spent the small amount of time i had listening to them instead of visiting. (i figured there was no point in just saying good bye.)
holy mackerel!! 2 hours to tour? i was farther behind than i thought. bbl.
Dry Stampeders were the openers at the first concert i ever saw. (Guess Who at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto in around 1974) all i remember is partying up in the nosebleeds, and again on the bus ride home - since it was a school function (barely). what a blast! Guess Who are my favourite band ever, though the Beatles, AC/DC, and Zep follow close behind on my personal hit parade.
I have gotten through some of my mags. I made 2 piles, one to keep and one to go. Now I just have to keep from putting anything from the to-go pile back on the keep pile.
Doc selling your archives on ebay might work. I am always amazed at the stuff people are trying to sell. But if you are serious [you’re not, are you?] make really sure or you’ll want it all back as soon as it sells. Maybe it would just be easier to add another room?
i’m still here serena just bopping back and forth between crossword puzzles and BT. i have at least one box of books to get rid of which is still on the floor of my library (and, as noted above, went out and bought more shelf space), so i know what you feel.
