Nothing to do with politics at all – - – Basic supply and demand issues – - – The pandemic shut down a lot of supply but the demand did not stop – prices went up accordingly – even though the pandemic is considered over, the supply chain issues are still a major problem in the world – Until the goods are flowing equal to pre-pandemic, we’ll be underwater with supply while demand is still growing. In addition, everyone wants to make more money – minimum wage increases so businesses increase prices to pay the higher salaries – basic business model. AND before you comment on greedy corporations, remember the stockholders – they demand the businesses make a higher profit so their stock goes up – it’s a vicious circle…
