My father worked as a “soda jerk” in the 50s. He was told he could eat all the ice cream he wanted for the first day on job. After eating himself sick, he had no further interest in “samping” on the job.
I worked in a movie theater in a former life, When I started I did not like popcorn. Having to smell it 8 hrs. a day I got use to it and started liking it. Still do to this day. I know I know that sounds contrary to the normal reaction.
