Both? Interesting name Both.

He didn’t name him Ol’ Yeller?!

We named ours Demon. At 8 months old, he’s really living up to that name – Yee-Ow!

How about “Fido”?

A friend adopted a dog named “Dude” and said sometimes the dog got loose and she hated going outside yelling “Dude! Dude!” to try to get him to come home. I suggested she change his name to something she’d feel more comfortable yelling, like “Fire”.

Long ago, and far away as it were, we adopted a black Lab puppy. My daughter wanted to help pick her out, but had to spend the weekend with her mom, so I told my daughter she could name the puppy. When we sat the puppy on my daughter’s lap Sunday evening, she instantly said, “Her name is Oreo.” My reply was (because this was a coal black Labrador Retriever puppy), “Okay, but why ‘Oreo’?” To which my daughter answered, “Because she’s black on the outside, but sweet on the inside.” My daughter nailed that dog’s personality instantly!

Yellow kitty=Batman Does not compute.

Well, he could have gone with Womancat, but that’s a bit of a mouthful.

Most yellow kitties are male.

I had an orange cat that I named Hoover de Doover Deluxe. Another one named Obediah, and the current one is Fargo, Supervisory Cat in Charge of Everything, the Little Stinker.

Got to name our first three dachshunds, Brynhild, Syglinde, and Mist, from Norse mythology (call names Hildy, Lindy, and Misty). Angel, Sadie, Einstein, and Harley came with those names. Did always want to name a dachshund Willis. My wife thought it was a reference to “What you talkin’ about, Willis?” from Different Strokes, but it’s actually based on David Copperfield in which Barkis the cart driver always tells David to tell Peggotty, “Barkis is willin’” (i.e. to marry her). If you have a dachshund named Willis, the chances at any moment are that Willis is barkin’.

Always be yourself. Unless you can be Batman. Then be Batman.
