You know, it is funny. When Covid-19 hit and the government required masks and essential stores only, no more than 50 in a large store, that near total lockdown; my husband and I were already homebodies so it really did not affect us save for the weekly shopping. Then I put two filters in our masks just to make sure we were and both of us shaved close to make sure the masks fit us well.
Not a mind reader here, but I would say although the visit to the coffee shop will never be the same…you WILL return. For how long? Nobody no’s. Mic night will probably be back too.
I was able to work remotely and had been prepandemic. It felt good to use my 30 years as an accountant to help many of my clients receive desperately needed government funding. There were loans and various grants that were available. Most was on a first come basis. Having all the information at my fingertips allowed me to be very effective. I’m proud to have had a small part in the employees who kept their paychecks and the businesses that managed to survived. Huh, kind of of life gives you lemons.☺️
Not being able to go to Mass was what I missed most, too. I didn’t realize just how much until it was taken away from me. I mean, yeah, we could live stream but it wasn’t the same. I couldn’t receive Communion and that is the most important part of the Mass. I got to go a couple times when my mom was the lector. They still had the lectors come for the Mass. My brother and I had to sit back far enough that we weren’t on camera and then we had to come and receive Communion after Mass. I cried when I could receive. And I vowed to never take the Mass for granted again. Usually when I’m working, I can’t get there unless its for something special. But when I’m not working or if I work later, I go to Mass unless I’m sick. I even go when I’m on vacation!
