Frank O. King was the original creator of Gasoline Alley, off course. Frank would get replaced in later years by Bill Perry, then Dick Moores, and currently Jim S.
I’m sorry, but anyone who hears that their town was founded by “Frank O. King” and somehow gets “King Franco” from that is not someone who is going to have the slightest idea who Francisco Franco is, to say nothing of the guy who was king in the government before the one Franco took power from.
You know, I love how Gasoline Alley follows its own rules. Walt is old, and he’ll keep getting older. Some things never change, some things will change. The cartoonist Frank O. King wrote the town charter and the cartoon people respect and follow it.
I do not need reality, or its rules, in my comics trips, thank you very much.
I’m not sure about the logic here. Does it really matter who signed the town charter? That’s like saying that the US Constitution is invalid because one of the signers was lying about his age or something.

The dude’s little temper tantrum here indicates that this idiotic arc is about to enter its 12th week instead of mercifully ending.
