Biden has attempted to play both sides for votes and has failed at both. “don’t” give us no baloney. Joe is weak, has sold out Israel, and has proven he is no leader. The sooner he is gone the better before he gets us in to WW3. How dare he give Iran the go-ahead as long as they don’t over-do it. Shameful. It just confirms how he has been boughten off by Hunter’s dealing and 10% for the Big Guy. He is no Big Guy, but a pawn.
“… The Middle East has been the most volatile part of the world since the mid-20th century, with multiple conflicts among disparate rivals. Some erupted over domestic disputes, others over regional competition, with spillover drawing in major world powers. Israel fought four major wars with Arab neighbors, including Egypt, Syria, and Jordan, between 1948 and 1973. But since the creation of the Palestine Liberation Organization in the mid-1960s, it has increasingly faced challenges from militias or non-state actors, eventually also including Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in the Palestinian territories, and the Houthis in Yemen. The militias became major military players in the 1980s, then evolved into influential political parties in the 1990s and 2000s. In the 21st century, they have been the most consistent threat to Israel.
By 2024, 10 conflicts flared across the region. Israel faced two frontlines in the south against Hamas and in the north against Hezbollah. Both were members of the so-called “Axis of Resistance,” a network of Shiite movements armed, trained, and financially supported by Iran. Tensions also played out between Israel and the wider Arab world. In Iraq and Syria, other Iranian-backed militias attacked US forces deployed to help contain the remnants of ISIS after the Islamic State collapsed in 2019. Yemen was involved in three wars—a civil war at home, a regional confrontation with Saudi Arabia, and attacks on international shipping in the Red Sea.The undercurrent in all these conflicts was the escalating tensions between the United States and Iran. …" — wilsoncenter .org /article /explainer-roots-and-realities-10-conflicts-middle-east
People in leadership positions have not learned to resolve their issues without killing others; the idiots want Cerberus and the dogs of war released, where they will show how little common sense humans have in controlling their animalistic instincts and more innocent people will die because they are stupid.
I see postings and commentaries from the Trumpists denigrating President Biden for not taking stronger action against Iran. Now here we have a far-right cartoonist claiming the extreme opposite. Just what does the far-right think President Biden should have done?
Netanyahu is just playing us for more aid and weapons. When is Biden going to get the hint and let Israel fight their own battle. They would never come to our defense.
Israel started it when they bombed the Iranian embassy… unprovoked… killing 16 including 2 Iranian generals. The fact that Iran was so measured and reserved in its response is actually quite stunning.
So appropriate that Biden is in a plane with the star of David on it. The USA has no defense alliance or treaty with Israel. Politicians simply get campaign contributions from their lobby.
Surprised you did not picture Biden ridin’ on an Iranian drone like Slim Pickins on a nuke. Much more correct showing him “with” Israel though. Surely you can create more outlandish propaganda than this, almost out of character today
God ole Joe the “Uniter” got our troops out of Afghanistan (well, some of them) and boasted that he’d ended a “war” we had been involved in for 20 years. Give him a big hand. This cartoon shows how ell he’s managed the war-free world since then. And he seems to be the one surrounded up close by all sides.
The whole region is like the Balkans in 1914. And it’s MASSIVELY oversimplying the situation to suggest that the problem is just all these countries wanting death to Israel. That implies a unity that simply doesn’t exist. They share some common antipathies, but they are not friends, and they do not hate Israel to equal degrees. There are missiles depicted for Syria and Yemen here, and neither of those countries have full control of their own territory — they are both embroiled in long-running and extremely bloody civil wars. And it ignores all the other players in the Mideast in favor of bringing out some of the favorite GOP bogeymen. Jordan and Egypt are both exquistely involved, despite their best efforts to remain neutral; while we all know where Iran, the official government of Syria, and the Houthi-led rebel provinces of Yemen would go, it is by no means clear what Jordan or Egypt would do if this blows up. Or Saudi Arabia, for that matter, or Qatar, or even Iraq, and considering the massive investment in US bases in those countries, and the near-certainty that the US would have to support Israel due to existing state obligations, it would put them in a very difficult position indeed, immediately vulnerable to retaliation. This comic betrays little understanding. Lisa Benson thinks we’re already seeing a regional war. We are not. It could get a whole lot worse.
That people don’t understand that the Commander in Chief’s, in this case President Biden, first job is to keep the citizens- and certainly our military personnel – safe, is unbelievable. Our military is shooting down missiles from Iran to STOP a full blown war from breaking out in the Middle East.
Netanyahu is a republican who worked closely with Trump. The FIRST THING Trump said after October 7th was, "Don’t worry, we have Hezbollah on the southern border. "
WHAT?!?!
Thank God he’s not president. If he and Netanyahu had their way MILLIONS of Israel, Palestinian, American, Iranian, etc, citizens and military personnel would be dead right now.
You’ll notice the heads of state in all of the surrounding Middle Eastern countries who are our allies are FOR a two state peaceful solution between Isreal and Palestine. The only way to achieve that is to stop a full blown Middle Eastern was from breaking out.
The amount of ignorant people in the US is no longer astounding. But when it comes to TRUTH? Facts matter. This illustration erroneously puts the US fighter plane in lock step with the missiles, when it SHOULD be facing them, and stopping them from reaching both the Gaza Strip, West Bank, and Isreal.
