I suspect Darren and Sky discussed this beforehand. I can see them wanting to punish the girls for their lack of communication and exposing themselves to danger while still encouraging their civic-minded behavior. Also, I can’t imagine Darren would undermine Sky by giving the girls’ a completely opposite message behind Sky’s back.
Well, an adult could be charged as an adult … if it’s illegal to be a vigilante pothole filler. However, they ARE a bit young to be doing that on their own.
