I was in a nursing home for two months recovering from a broken femur/hip. I have a female cat who never, ever made a sound prior to my nursing home stay. But since coming home, she cries periodically, night or day, if she can’t see me. Sometimes she lets go with some high-pitched wailing at night because she can’t see me. Then I call her, she jumps up on the bed and she’s fine.

When Dad and hubby leave on errands, Monroe cries. Dad says he does it when hubby and I leave as well.
