Adults like Mayor Cherelle Parker, who is finally trying to clean up Philly? We had 8 years of Jim Kenney, who couldn’t give a (feces) and openly stated that he was tired of being mayor. Parker will go down in history as one of Philadelphia’s greatest mayors.
Of course. Anything kids are enthused about is going to require participation from their adults. Adults who may already be stretched thin. Doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be worth it, but it may take some convincing.

Lemme guess, the “scare ’em straight” crowd isn’t happy that police are being seen as human beings by the youth?

I wonder what moral guardians and the Scare Em Straight program will think of this?

I can’t blame said adults. I do feel bad for Joe as he’s genuinely changed and tried to be better as a cop…but there’s every reason not to trust them

“Police Youth Leagues” are a golden oldie, even if they don’t get much publicity these days

Hopefully it will be more effective than the money-grabbing boondoggle known as DARE.
