Short legs can be a disadvantage in a race, but I look at things this way. When God was making me, He got it perfect sooner than He did with some taller folks so He stopped. Obviously some taller folks took longer. So Fred, we short legged people and dogs are perfect just as God made us.

I don’t think it’s my legs that have shrunk so much as my whole body. I’ve gone from nearly 5’3" down to just under 5’ at the age of 87.

You can’t say Yorkie’s legs are too short. All four of them reach the ground.

Yorky can’t win races but he wins fights.

I know a number of large dogs who don’t like to run fast…they just saunter along.
