There is no Designated Hitter in softball either. Softball uses the ‘Designated Player’ instead, who can play either offense (in place of any fielder, not just the pitcher) or defense.

“I know I’m the coach, but I’ll ask for feedback on all my decisions. And when some tries to give it, I’ll assault them. Win on 3. One, two, three, win!”

I’d personally let her take an at-bat. One or two of her teammates are lacking the protein of the 15 strips of bacon sandwich that Wolfe had at that restaurant.
