American comedy was at its peak in the ’70’s—at least on TV. But the English have no sense of humor, so what else can Capp & Co. expect?

Not even dad-jokes. Grand-dad-jokes! But not actually “grand”.

I used to go to a bar, the new bartender played guitar and her only song was about having a new skate key…her only song! I was the only customer, I dated her 3 times. Regrets

And once again snsurone76 shows how little she understands. She derides English humor while reading ‘Andy Capp’ on a daily basis. As mentioned above, Monty Python was outrageously funny. There are many British Sitcoms that were imported to the States and re-worked as American…..‘The Office’ is a great example. So many American comedians can’t say a sentence without dropping an ’’F’’ bomb it’s hard to tell why they even bother to get on stage. It’s not entertaining to me. I love British humor and have since I was a young.

Maybe it’s guitar bob gone stand up.

I saw a program many years ago where different comediens took the stage and only gave the punch lines.

People don’t go there for the entertainment, there ain’t none.

And all the customer are saying “don’t make me laugh”.
