They do make day clocks. No hour or minute hands, just days of the week.

No judgement, uncle Ted. When you get back from doing something, get all the rest that you can. That’s what I do.

It’s getting old: less sleep, more naps.

When working I learned to take power naps if needed. I would go out to my car, set my alarm for 30 minutes, and come back to work ready for the rest of the day. Now that I’m retired, I still take power naps; while my bladder fills in nicely for my alarm clock.

After a point you nap better than you sleep.

Why not nap Uncle Ted? It’s your retirement, enjoy it however you wish.

I got up today before dawn. I started the PC and took a 2 1/2 hour nap.

Might want to give that engine a little more use Uncle Ted. Don’t know how old you are, but the older you act, the older you will be psychologically. I keep active all year long. Not climbing mountains or anything like that but l do workout 5 days a week but more importantly, I keep my mind active. I met a WWll combat B-17 pilot shot down over Germany in1944 and was taken as a POW. He was in a wheelchair but his mind was as clear as ever. He was 105 years old. We met at aQuestion/answer seminar hosted by Bob Gates. He’s my new hero. Bob Gates is another good example. So get off that couch and get to doing something productive. That’s an order……

I so love Uncle Ted and obviously Brutus does too. Uncle Ted is everything Brutus wants to be: laid back, self assured, at peace with the world, and especially retired! Thanks for the dose of Uncle Ted to close out the week Chip. A welcome relief from Rancid (and Ramona)!

Way back in grammar school a kid in our class was the first to have a watch. I asked him what time it was and he said, “about 6” and I said, “six-what” and he said, “the big hand fell off” and sure enough there it was lying at the bottom of the dial.

Since I left my job due to disability, I have to lay down for a nap to rest my lower back. I do get up early too, so a nap is welcomed.

I wish I had decided to come home and take a nap instead of working extra hours with my dog on a day that we don’t usually go. Tomorrow we will be right back at the hospital, and I am hoping for a short day so I can get home early enough to nap. I don’t know what is keeping my dog awake. I thought she would come home and crash.

I’m not yet retired, but I am getting to the age where I sometimes find myself identifying more with Uncle Ted than with Brutus. This is one of those occasions.
