Something like 85% or more of us WON’T feel a thing. Except we’ll feel better when the national debt starts getting retired a little faster. The tax hike is ONLY on the obscenely rich. And maybe some corporations.

But Varvel is paid to ignore such “subtleties” as WHO the tax hike affects. And of course, whether it gets past the House (not a chance in HELL)

We need a tax hike, all across the board, except those living in poverty. Along with cuts in expenditures, starting with the military.

Growing the economy will bring in more revenue with the same tax rates. So, the question for me is, does continuing a tax break for the wealthy (decide on an amount and stick with it) harm the overall economy that much? Or go with the same disproven trickle down economic solution?

Hairy Drivel, you have outdone yourself with such a blatant lie and misleading garbage. The imminent tax hike was decided by the GOPQ when your demented fat orange clown told his fat greedy puppet masters at Mar-a-Lardo that he made them richer.

The clown’s tax cuts end next year….not for the rich but just the middle class.

Appears that Varvel has sunk to the level of Carlson and Hannity…

Be sure to click on this comic every day, even if it does not say it’s updated. GoComics is shadow-banning it and also allowing paid trolls to post negative comments.

If I get an education that allows me through hard work and sacrifice become a millionaire, why do I have to pay a higher tax rate than someone that gets a worthless degree or someone that just wants to skate through life living off the government? We all should pay equally our FAIR SHARE of the governments expenses. Why steal from what I worked hard to earn to pay someone that does nothing to advance their wealth?

Biden campaigned in 2020 on raising taxes on the wealthy. This comes as no surprise.

Remember when being a 1 Percenter meant that you belonged to an outlaw motorcycle gang? The Hells Angels et al should sue Musk, Gates and all the others for co-opting their trademark.

If Varvel ever complains about the deficit again, let’s all call him on it. The highest tax rate used to be 80%; when it was the economy was stable and the debt, largely incurred due to WWII, was going down. Reagan and the GOP said FTS, blew up the deficit. Clinton got it under control; Bush and the GOP said FTS, blew up the deficit. Obama started digging us out of the Great Recession, brought about largely by GOP excess, and Trump and the GOP said FTS and blew up the deficit. As Yogi Berra said, “You could look it up!”
