âMah NĂ Mah NĂ â first appeared in an Italian film, SWEDEN: HEAVEN AND HELL (1968) a âdocumentaryâ about âwild practices in Swedenâ (you can guess what kind, the site wonât let me print it here.) Its American debut was on the Red Skelton Show in 1969-70. It was used in the opener for every episode! The Muppet version was made in November 1969 for Sesame Street and re recorded for The Muppet Show in 1976. Benny Hill used the tune on his show beginning in 1971. And there are actual lyrics. I had to correct Floof and Siriusâ dialogue when I looked it up!

If I were visiting South America, Iâd love to see alpacas and llamas, and Iâd also want to see guanacos and vicuñas.

ITâS FUN! And our version has just enough words. Even 2 yr olds can sing along.

Little known fact: Alpacas hum because they donât know the words to the song.
