Whenever a comic is adapted into a show or movie, I always read it in the voices from said adaptation.

Don’t get me STARTED on ‘funny voices.’ I have a habit of doing various character voices from Jay Ward shows when I’m driving or shopping with my wife. Drives her crazy.

Mmm…good memories. When I was young, the Winnipeg radio station had a program on at 9am Sunday called Wash and Ash Read the Funnies. They’d vocally act out with commentary the Free Press weekend color comics, back in the 60’s. So, Blondie, L’il Abner, etc….loved it!

Bear has turned the comics into a Bear production, directed by Bear and starring Molly. ❤️

bear could be our grand daughter’s twin. Grandma (my wife is our family storyteller) tell me a story, make it about this, and use these characters, and this is what happens in the story

When my dad was a boy in the 1930s in NYC there was a newspaper strike. Mayor LaGuardia would go on the radio and read the comics which would have been in the papers if they had been published. (Love of comics was one of many things that dad and I shared interest in.)
