So you seem to be taking Dear for a run and not a walk. That should get his blood moving, and, yeah, hopefully, he actually will feel better. Sometimes exercise is really all we need.

Of course they will end up at the local pub.

Besides, I need a pee…….

One of the great mysteries is why we continually see Fred wandering around the neighborhood with his pals in one strip while, in another, he can only seem to get out of the house at the end of a leash.

Must have a walkie ! Hard to find rabbits to chase in the house ;-)

Fred is up for a race around the park. His opponet this time: his beloved and completely worn out from a long day at the office- Mr. Dear (who would love to chill in his armchair or at least nurse a pint or two in The Checker’s).

Any faster, Fred and you could keep up with Marmaduke and Phil ! ! !

Due to occasional appearances by the Grosvenor Avenue Gang in this strip, I have sometimes mentioned the real-life Grosvenor family and their importance to Chester. We have a Grosvenor Park, a Grosvenor Road and a Grosvenor Arms here. Today, the Earl of Grosvenor is getting married at Chester Cathedral in the City Centre. There is a large police presence there and one of my friends was surprised that it is just security for a high society wedding. She had thought that a dead body had been found in the city centre.

He can’t possibly walk fast enough to make Mr. Dear sweat!
