Usually it’s the old white guys who can’t get their heads around ’primitive’* people building megastructures all on their own. A tradition that goes all the way back to Hellenes thinking the Mycenaean ruins about must have been built by giants.
What I don’t understand is that a group of beings that had figured out how to travel between solar systems within their life span thought “those folks could really use some help building big things out of stone” but never thought to teach us how to purify water.
