Ah! Syrius even in mischief is the very face of cuteness and unconditional puppy love. My favorite in the strip, he reminds me of the family’s mixed lab when he was a puppy. He definitely was a Syrius: full of innocent mischief but overall not a “tantrum” doggie to this day and overall obedient and a licker with no nipping. Basically to this day a good doggie who dispenses love to all like in the Beatles song: “love is all you need”.
My Jingle Belle Katt, a plump middle-aged tabby, likes to jump up on the kitchen counter. Sometimes she gets halfway up and then slips off…then she gives me a dirty look. “It’s YOUR fault!”

Oh, Kate, you really need to keep that pup on a leash! And not just because he is trying to swing from a tree. (or maybe “retrieve” a stick)
I do love the oh-so-pretty tree. And Kate’s expression.

Unless it’s from a little puppy, the bark on a tree can be easier to put with.

Only one couplet? Is the rest of the verse on tap for tomorrow? Sirius is just too adorable even when he is getting up to mischief.

I bet they didn’t think of the tree as a dog toy when they planned that park! And what is Kate holding?

Do you think the tree’s BARK is worse than its BITE?

Loving these poetry assignments!

This is perfect. Our new pup is obsessed with chewing sticks. I’m going to use this line on him. He loves a good pun.

Kate is finding that these poetry assignments nearly write themselves! They’re great fun, too.
