One morning when I as about six, I walked into the kitchen and saw my dad drinking his coffee. I asked him what it tasted like and he offered me a sip. I was hooked! Never questioned about how young I was and it was a nice bonding experience between the two of us. He wasn’t a night time coffee drinker and neither am I. His choice was hot tea and I still like to end the day with a mug of hot tea. Happy heavenly Father’s Day, Dad.
When will all these old myths die? Coffee does not have any adverse effects on children. Nor does it stunt growth. And in fact coffee has tremendous health benefits for adults. It’s one of the most studied foods and all the studies show its tremendous advantages as an anti-oxidant, among other benefits.
My kids (11-19) all love coffee. They’ll have it black, con leche, sweetened, however. I allow the younger ones an 8 oz cup (a couple ounces for whatever they want to add and then 5-6oz of coffee.) I honestly do not see the big deal as long as it is within moderation. Young kids have no business drinking 16-20oz mugs of coffee, but a small cup should be fine.

Where’s the Crankshaft reviewers about ongoing non funny comics, although I find both quite good…..

I’ve never known any kids who wanted to drink coffee. It seems like the smell would be a turn off.

Then, Gracie will drink coffee when Papi is not around.

I’d rather her drink a coffee than a Coca-Cola or that blue brand of soda.

Best way to quit smoking? Don’t start in the first place. Works for coffee too.
