In the United States, under the First Amendment, we have freedom of speech. That includes not merely spoken words but also writings and symbolic speech like clothing, flags, tattoos, etc. But certain categories of speech are not covered by the First Amendment:
– incitement to imminent lawless action
– “fighting words” (not well defined)
– true threats
– “obscenity” (really not well defined)
– defamation (slander if spoken, libel if written)
“I want freedom to speech to spew contempt of court threats against judges and witnesses… But I’ll have anyone who says I have small hands thrown into prison without trial!”
Don’t think it’s anyone that disagrees with Mr. Alcaraz that would be trying to shut anyone up. We may B&M, but would never try to silence someone. It’s almost always the radical Left that wants to silence and cancel people they disagree with. Take a look at what some radical leftist did to Rob Schneider at a fundraiser for the Hospitals of Regina Foundation where he was hired to do a standup set. Yup, “shut him up, he hurt my feelings!”, poor little thing.

Does a red vest substitute a Maga hat for Karens?

This is funny cause often Lalo cartoons make reference to silence pro trump or anti illegal immigration voices

Ten bucks says this is paraphrasing and actual letter to the editor.

I think the cartoonist should be allowed to publish his political opinions…just as long as they agree with mine.
