They buy the beer, they drink the beer and then they start brawling and trowing things around before getting arrested and put on the ferry the following day.

There’s a Calais, Maine about a four hour drive heading south of me. Nice little town getting near the Bay of Fundy on the New Brunswick, CN border. A lot of New Brunswick is bi-lingual, so speaking french there shouldn’t be too much of a problem.

In France it will be wine not beers or ales.

Literal translation and colloquial translation differ. Sometimes a literal translation is not grammatically correct. The French language does not always follow rules of grammar…but then the language preceded grammar by centuries.

Well, at least it isn’t I would like to go to the Hotel Pierre – thanks to incessant Babel.com commercials, that’s about the French anyone knows…

I doubt if this will be an arc, but I’d like to see it: Andy and the lads away from the wives.

Moi, j’parle l’Anglais. Und ein bischen Deutsch (auch/aussi). (And also Ocker Aussie…another beer, mate, please). But not NZ (as they have trouble pronouncing English). Now, as for Brooklynese, where I was a toddler…
