We get sod all from the company (at least in terms of a leaving gift) when we retire, but we get something from colleagues that chip into a leaving gift. I can’t complain too much though because our retirement plan is regarded as a gold standard. The person telling us about preparing for retirement stated she wished she had it. So I’m going to be happy
Got nice Seiko watches for my 40 and 45 year anniversaries with the company along with $10 per year. Don’t wear either of them. Retirement gift (my choice) was a dedicated wine refrigerator.

when my father retired after 18 years with a company they gave him a Gold Rolex , he took them from being a 500k company to 5M in sales per year
