“I’ll rise, but I refuse to shine!”

This reminded me of a song from Vacation Bible School long, long ago. Easier said then done some days

Whine and shine would have been better.

Pull the covers off, open the shades/curtains and tell him breakfast ends in 10 minutes.

The longer they stay in bed, the less mess in the house, the less food consumed, and the fewer whines to be heard. The chores will still be there to complete before eating.

“You have to get up and do chores!”

Grandma isn’t offering much incentive, is she?

We may need to introduce coffee at an earlier age.

You don’t have to like it. You just have to do it. Welcome to life.
