“At what cost”? Loss of one’s Soul, maybe?

The people you see on the “reality encounter” segments of most talk shows are small-time actors who are paid for their performance. A actress friend of mine was approached to do a violent break-up scene on one.

She’s perfect for it, reality shows are made up of wanna be actors and actresses with little to no careers! ;-)

How did “reality” shows — which bear very little resemblance to real life — get that name anyway?

They can’t hire Boopsie. She is a professional actress. They would have to pay her as an actress. That’s why reality programs were invented, to be cheap entertainment.
