Is that her Adams Apple in the 3rd panel?

Perhaps that has been the pattern for so long, she’s just assuming that’s the pattern for the evening again. Or since she’s in a bad mood already, she’s just going to run with it. Too bad. Makes for a miserable evening. And Fred, you’re smart to stay out of it.

Well, knowing Mr. Dear like we do, she might be right.

No matter what Mr. Dear does or says, it’s going to be the wrong thing as far as Mrs. Dear is concerned tonight.

So she’s complaining about his complaining in advance.

Because, apparently, that’s all he does!

His only play – “Sit, Dear, while I make you a gin & tonic.”

Mrs. Dear has had enough. No ifs, ands or buts about it !

Forget it, Mr. Dear, today you’re wrong no matter what you do.

Fred is a fly on the wall, able to observe human nature at its best and worst.

Yikes! They’re both in a bad mood!

Is it me or are Mr.and Mrs. Dear getting nastier this year .Poor Fred
