I have a cat who makes holes like that in clothing if it’s accessible to her. We thought we had mice for the longest time, until we caught her at it.
As Spock said: After a time, you may find that having is not so pleasing a thing after all as wanting. It is not logical, but it is often true.
With or without a bra, that sweater is now too risquè to wear in public, or even around the house.
