Went to find a cool, shady spot, maybe.

Knowing Rover, he may return to Red soon with a wonderful, cooling mist for him from the garden hose. That is the dear Rover we all know and LOVE!!

dog’s temp is higher than humans, Red is cooler

We can tell Rover took it the wrong way because he is NOT lying next to Red.

You never learn, Red. Let sleeping dogs lie.

I remember a strip where a sleeping Rover was talking in his sleep and making extravagant boasts such as “I once dug a hole straight down to China.” Red said at the end, “It’s true! Sleeping dogs lie.”

Sensitive!!!!!!

At least, Rover got the message. But just overreacted, lol! Going off in a huff!

Rover will be back for dinner…

Every night my dog wants to sleep on my pillow. Like, right where my head would go. I have to be very careful how I coax him off of it, lest I offend him, he jumps down off the bed entirely, refuses to come back in the bedroom and I have to go bodily retrieve him from the living room couch where he has gone to pout. What a goofball.

My cat used to help me cool down by splaying herself across my chest in middle of Florida summer.

That’s exactly what I say to my husband. Same effect too.

I’m having the same issue with my cats.

Rover took it the right way. Right away from Red.

My sister lives off the grid in a handmade cottage, so no a/c. Nevertheless, one of her collies insists on cuddling all night. The other is sensible and might sleep on the floor when it’s super hot.
