I’m not sure why the oxygen in the womb is supposed to be so unbelievable since the baby receives its oxygen from the mother through the umbilical cord.

I heard that having a baby is as painful as hiking up and down Mt. Everest carrying a 100lb. pack.

Good thing for the mother that the baby isn’t really wearing crampons.

My wife and I went to the rodeo and one of the first exhibits we stopped at was the breeding bulls.

We went up to the first pen and there was a sign attached that said, [This bull mated 50 times last year].

My wife playfully nudged me in the ribs. She smiled as she said, “He mated 50 times last year.”

We walked to the second pen which had a sign attached that said, [This bull mated 150 times last year]

My wife gave me a healthy jab and said, “WOW That’s more than twice a week!… You could learn a lot from him.”

We walked to a third pen and it had a sign attached that said, in capital letters, [THIS BULL MATED 365 TIMES LAST YEAR]

My wife was so excited that her elbow nearly broke my ribs, “That’s once a day!… You could REALLY learn something from this one."

With a frown I shook my head back and forth, and said, “Why don’t you go ask him if it was with the same old cow.”

Huh? The oxygen concentration at the top of Everest is the same at sea level, around 21%. This is an often-misrepresented concept. It’s the atmospheric pressure that differs at that altitude. There is no “lack of oxygen” only a lack of pressure. Supplemental oxygen is needed to compensate for that lack of pressure.

Spoons aren’t often used in Japan, except for soup

I think the picture is misleading. The electric spoon made food taste saltier when the spoon shocked your mouth, not the food in the bowl.

Since the critter in the womb gets its oxygen from mom’s blood, the oxygen content of the womb is not critical.

The strip’s statement doesn’t make any sense. It’s apples and oranges. The baby receives its oxygen through the mother’s blood, and that can’t be equated with receiving oxygen through the lungs, no matter where the person is.
