I got a new kitten and soon learned she was going to be a “pistol”. As an experiment, I carefully measured three identical servings of cat food in identical bowls and placed them on the floor in an equilateral triangle. Rushing past the two adult males, the kitten jumped into the center of the triangle. Keeping the other two at bay with a little hiss (“Everybody be cool”), she examined all three bowls before picking one (“OK. This one’s mine.”). The two male cats shrugged and ate their meals.
