This makes sense. The gelatin in the Jello will coagulate even with the cream cheese in it and make this (once it is refrigerated) the consistency of cheesecake.
Are you using the pre-sweetened jello or do you have to add sugar later? If so, you probably need to make the jello the way the box says and then add the cheese.
The recipe sounds like it could work. Might have to try it once I get moved. Yup, moving upstate to the big city (Seattle) to be nearer to my son and his family. First independent living place I’ve been in. Tiny, but hopefully I will make new friends. Anyone need furniture????
Our Manders knows to put her hair up before preparing food. If only the servers at the Church luncheon would take a cue from our girl. Having worked in the service industry I asked them to put their hair back, they replied that Julie never told them..SMH

As the cook, it behooves you to taste test the cream cheese with a cracker or twelve.
