The most annoying part of US news, IMHO, is how myopic it is. Plague in Africa – not covered. War in Europe – not covered. Earthquake in Asia – not covered. Minor talent celebrity in US having a bad hair day = headline story.

There are other sources of news, Broomie—like your “Banana” computer. Are you gonna ZAP them all??

The news doesn’t seem to change much. Same stuff, different day. World peace? That would be news.

I don’t get my news from TV, my political news comes from GoComics.

The grip the media has on this country is almost as bad as what the insurance companies have on medicine.

Recently a lightning strike zapped my surge protector, cable modem and computer. Was nearly 2 weeks before I could replace the computer. (I don’t have a TV). It was a pleasant respite from all the noise that passes for news, and I really did not miss anything important.

I found a way to make the news more bareable to watch, It’s site called nakednews.

Well now they can get a new flat screen tv.

I haven’t watched the news since 2010. I read it in my local newspaper and through news sites. Things like Newshour, OPB News, DW, BBC, Guardian, CBC, ArsTechnica, Slashdot, and a few others.
