Mrs. Olsen, that is something you don’t want Miss Plainwell to remember.

If I remember correctly, it was Edwin “Frazz” Frazier, the school custodian?

One of my students grew up and became a teacher. Then, she started her own pay channel, “______’s Tips for Teachers.” In one of them she shared a technique I had used when she was a student in my classroom. I was flattered and pleased, but I did tease her just a little bit."

Ideas are expensive?

Often Doggo-Os tend to resemble or remind me of their owners. The fleet Grayhound and the rather staid Boston Bull?

I’m missing something here. It wasn’t Mrs. Olsen’s idea for having the kids pick their own reading list, but it wasn’t cheap? I’m not sure what expense Mrs. Olsen incurred? Was it a hit to her wallet or did her pride take a hit?

So, it wasn’t her idea to begin with. That’s about average for teachers and anyone else who trades in ideas and strategies. It’s the ‘something cheaper’ that I am not seeing.

But the pups are showing that tolerance for allowing their humans to stop and chat while ‘walking’ their pets. See that a lot in our neighborhood. Always a pleasure.

I always read what I wanted. When forced by certain teachers to read from their list, I almost always detested the book.

Mrs. Olsen is honest enough to admit that the idea wasn’t her own, but she’s afraid of what the consequences might be if she admits that she got the idea from Frazz. (If, say, Caulfield found out; he’d never let her hear the end of it.)

I never had summer reading. I always hated reading anyway.

I do remember four books about my state that I enjoyed reading, though maybe “reading” isn’t the correct term as I didn’t do through and see every word.
