Ha! I have a small device that flickers lights like a tv would do, and when the curtains are closed, it looks from outdoors like a tv is on in the room, but it uses almost no energy. It’s my favorite security device!

Reminds me of when we used to go see my MIL. The Old Sarge would cross the street and talk to the nosy neighbor. When he came back he’d say he’d set the vacation alarm!

Back in the day we would put timers on certain lights and set them to different time to give the appearance of someone being home. These days with LED lights I just leave a few on.

We need cat sitters, so they kept things looking inhabited. We now have a security system.

When you use a security “trick”, which is so widely used it appears in comic strips, you might as well leave your doors unlocked.

Where I live (rural western gun-nut country) there are people who actually have big signs on their house or fence or whatever that say “If You Want To Know How I Feel About Gun Control – BREAK INTO MY HOUSE”. Wonder how that’s workin’ out…SMH

“Back in the Day” (1960’s) our great nation wasn’t populated by corrupt deceitful demoncrat felons. My Dad used to leave our house unlocked in case a neighbor needed to borrow a tool or some eggs. ain’t liberalism great?!

How this slop gets in the “Educational” section is beyond me.
