One doesn’t provide information in a disagreement to influence the person with which they have said disagreement. One provides it for the uncommitted bystander with no personal stake in the argument.
sometimes I want to understand why someone else chooses the way they do. I may not change my choice but at least I can see some of the reasons people think otherwise. And it is all good until people start calling each other names. If they make a personal attack first, I won.
