My boys have me trained well. Treat time is just before bed, no matter what time that may be. All I have to do is say the word “Treats” and the mania begins. They carry on like little maniacs until the treats are in their special treat bowls. They don’t like them just tossed on the floor, or on top of their other food. They MUST be in the special treat bowls. Spoiled? Yeah, but I am their servant and God forbid I don’t provide upon demand.
Our cat had a problem with vomiting and the vet suggested using an automatic feeder several times a day with small portions rather than a bowl. No more vomiting. She knows within about 10 minutes when the food is going to drop. She waits nearby poised to capture her prey.
I buy the food for my roommate’s cat since the pet store is right next to my gym. The cat always greets me at the door because he likes the smell of chlorine, but if I have the bag of food with me, he prefers to sniff every inch of the bag. I kind of want to drop him in the pet store and see what happens.

Crumpling up paper (or plastic, in this case) produces ultrasonic sound that sounds like mice.

Unable to remember ever having eaten.

It took a while to learn how to make a sound like cat treats hitting a bowl, but once I did my cat training went a lot easier. :)

Our cats know when I open a new tub of treats. The cellophane gives me away.
