I tried using the beach waves on my sound machine. It sounded to similar to a semi passing by. Right next to my bed. The second time I woke up in a panic, I changed it.

i use 3M 1100 ear plugs and sleep just fine. I can hear the phone, alarm and smoke detector but not traffic nor my wife’s snoring which is equivalent to a huge Cat diesel going downhill with the Jake brake on.
