I was curious about how this all actually ends. The final strip was 12/30/2001. Can anyone provide a link or perhaps a clue to the ending? I’ve read it ended in a cliffhanger including Brandy’s wedding.
I tried to propose to a receptionist during her lunch hour when she was supposed to be off-duty. Every time I got started, the phone would ring and she would reflexively answer it. She agreed to the proposal eventually but it should have warned me. Whenever she was around me it was yes, yes, yes. When she went back home it was always, “I don’t know.”.

I’m assuming the phone name is a pun on a real phone make. Any takers as to what?

Didn’t Roger ‘come in’ just a few days ago?

“Of course not.” Because that would have been less predictable.

Brandy’s eyes in the last panel says it all. She is in a situation that she knows she has to get out of with Roger but just doesn’t know exactly how.
