Nature’s first green is gold,

Her hardest hue to hold.

Her early leaf’s a flower;

But only so an hour.

Then leaf subsides to leaf.

So Eden sank to grief,

So dawn goes down to day.

Nothing gold can stay.

Whether November is a blaze of autumn glory or a forest of bare trees depends on your latitude. Where I live in Fla, it’s more of the same.

I’ve lived in the four seasons of Michigan for most of my 75 years. I can honestly say, I enjoy all the seasons and the variety of beauty they present.

Do not taunt the Frost.

Except being stationed in New York, New Jersey, and Germany, I truly think I have missed oodles & scads of beautiful weather, those four seasons. Maybe why I am so intrigued with your North Country Trail and all the rest. BTW, I love the Cartoon FRAZZ but I love it more with Jef’s outside art like today! 4.0, A+ to Jef.

The perfect excuse for an Evergreen with bubble lights in your house.

Caulfield has his moments. They are what makes him an interesting if challenging student. Always enjoyed when one or two appeared in a new class. I was challenged to interest them. Competition with them jogged some students to improved effort. And they showed the more indifferent students the gap between making an effort and just sitting it out. A few of the latter occasionally moved in the right direction.

Not all that is gold glitters.

That’s right, Frazz. Ghosts exist and they all control the weather.

I love the Lacy elegance of barren trees almost as much as I love the new crop of green foliage in the spring

Northern Illinois here, most of the trees are still green. Still had an 80 degree day last week.

There is color in November.
