One of the funniest comic strips I have seen lately.

Too bad there’s not a zucchini-chunkin season.

Back then carving started but it was in Ireland and only it was turnips that were carved not pumpkins.

This reminds me of the annual fruitcake toss. There’s an Edward Gorey cartoon of a frozen pond with a hole in the ice and people coming in from all directions and dropping their fruitcakes into the hole. The kicker is that one of them is a dog standing there dropping a fruitcake from its mouth into the hole.

Flaming pumpkins, I like that!

It will work up until Id is out of their gourds.

Delaware started the original "Punkin’ Chunkin’ " events. At first local, and basic mechanisms for the “chunkers” were the norm. Then it grew in size to the point that the chunkers were chunkin’ the punkins’ such long distances that it finally outgrew space in DE, and moved someplace out West, where there is more land available to chunk those punkins’!

Taking a page out of Green Goblin’s playbook.
