Imagine phone service everywhere in the world. And then all the top secret satellites launches. And the International Space Station supply capsules. Oh, and astronauts ferried to and from the station.
i cannot look through my telescope’s eyepiece for more than about 30 seconds without seeing a satellite shooting through the field of view; there’s so much junk up there, and a large number of those satellites are defunct & derelict. The astrophotographers have it even worse, not to mention the astrophysicists trying to do, y’know, actual research. There’s so much debris orbiting that manned missions are becoming even more hazardous.
Low Earth Orbit, must be getting crowded up there, the Math works or stuff happens. Space X will be deorbiting the ISS when it is no longer viable. It may not be a bad idea if it goes back up and does the same with satellites that are no longer working, as of 2021 there were 3170 of those up there (Google) and Musk has no competition in that category.
I find it sad that the “Muskateer” is using all that technology developed by NASA without paying for it. Muskateer is screwing over the American Taxpayers

All that space junk floating around up there.

I don’t think anyone should be allowed to put anything in orbit without explaining how they’re going to get rid of it when it becomes obsolete.

And they’re beaming stuff right into your head.

That would explain the small dot just below and to the right in the super moon photo my cousin sent me last night

Can you imagine? I see it happening now, people are going to be trained to go up to collect space junk! Future job title, space garbage person! LOL

NASA has a website that tells when and where in the sky the ISS will be visible in many locations.
